This original 17th-century print was created by French painter Louis Testelin (1615-1665) using the Mezzotint process, the first tonal printing method. The result is a stunningly detailed decorative motif of religious imagery, showing cherubs holding arrows and armour. Printed with lettering ‘Tetelin Delineavit’ and ‘P. Mariette ex’.
