A serene and tranquil image, this artist has used watercolour to beautifully capture the luminescent surface of the fish and the translucence of this underwater scene. A graceful sense of movement is created with the softness of this style.

A prominent Spanish painter born in 1876 in Barcelona, Oleguer Junyent i Sans was also known for his highly versatile career as a set designer, illustrator, poster artist, decorator, collector, antique dealer and traveller. Junyent studied at the prestigious art school of La Llotja, as well as training with respected scenographer Fèlix Urgellès as a young man. As a painter, Oleguer enjoyed great success for his magnificent artworks and exhibited across the country, including in the Museo Nacional Reina Sofia in Madrid, as well as winning a number of outstanding awards for his exceptional work.
