An ornately tortoiseshell cover, inlaid with brass and mother of pearl, possibly representing the passion fruit flower - this piece is a religious text which was printed in Barcelona in 1898. The highly intricate illustrations and calligraphy inside finished with metal clasps and gilt-edged paper, all add to the beauty of this antique treasure.
