Gustavo Carbó Berthold was born in Barcelona in 1941 October.
He started to study architecture in 1958. Art Studies in Llotja, 1960-1961.
Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona / Section of Painting and Engraving in 1968.
Until the 1980s, he remained faithful to a pseudo-figurative painting that the Catalan critic called "Nova Figuració".
Then his trajectory turns and adopts abstraction, understood as a simple introspection of reality, in isolation as an alteration of visual elements.
He has exhibited his work internationally.
Awarded in the International Mini-Print, in the 1st International Electrography Biennial in Barcelona. He carries out design work in Palau Guell, Barcelona; Barcelona Provincial Council, and appeared “El Prado” Galleries in Madrid. Lately, he works the volumetric spaces opting for removable sculptures and three-dimensional shapes to installations.
