'El Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc' - Expressive Harbour Scene - Lithograph
A fantastic poster created for 'El Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc,' a highly prominent Spanish art society in the 50s. The vigorous and expressive use of crayon on the original drawing gives a wonderful sense of energy.
This society was founded in 1893 in Barcelona by modernist artists including Joan and Josef Llimona. Joan Miró and Joaquín Torres García were known to attend classes with the group and the latter was also a member.
