Josef Hoffmann Sitzmaschine style armchair.

Josef Hoffman was one of the most prominent modern architects and designers of the early 20th century. He was a founder and pioneering member of the Viennese Succession and Wiener Werkstatte, creating the modern language of Art Deco. His Sitzmaschine armchair (or 'machine for sitting') was originally designed for his Purkersdorf Sanatorium in Vienna. The chair was one of his first successful attempts to unify the design of the building with its furniture.
