Last Supper - Oil on Panel

Painted in a wonderful realist style, the light of this painting glows from the window onto the figure of Jesus and his goblet in the centre of the composition. The figures facing away from the window also have lit faces, suggesting perhaps that the holy man himself emanates light.

The main subject is interestingly positioned facing away from the viewer, placing emphasis on the devotion of the disciples which is made clear by their attentive positions leaning into the centre and listening, making us wonder what Christ may be saying.
