This accomplished ink drawing depicting a series of figures is signed by French war correspondent and illustrator Georges Bertin Scott (1873-1943). This highly celebrated artist created illustrations for French publication L'Illustration, and is known for his paintings of the First World War and Balkan Wars. The artist writes a note to a friend named 'Vazquez' at the top of this beautifully preserved piece, as well as a longer note on the back of the piece.
