Born in Luceni (Zaragoza) in 1947, Hermógenes Pardo Ruiz studied at the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos in Zaragoza and later in Madrid, where he studied the masters at the Prado. After teaching briefly, he dedicated himself fully to painting in 1975, living and working between Barcelona and Madrid. A painter and printmaker, Pardo Ruiz is recognized for his refined surrealism and meticulous realism. His works have been exhibited in Spain, Amsterdam, London, New York, and at international print biennales, and are held in collections including the Biblioteca Nacional and Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo.
