Moorcroft Vase
Moorcroft Vase
William Moorcroft (1872-1945), founder of the widely recognised British Art Pottery company, is considered to be one of the most prominent ceramicists of the Arts and Crafts movement, whose signature style also draws upon the gorgeous naturalism associated with Art Nouveau. The rich, autumnal colours and luscious floral design of this splendid vase are created with beautiful texture and depth, with the flowers appearing to burst out of the surface. The magnificent gradient and smooth form add to the pure exquisiteness of this piece, which would look marvellous adorned with a bunch of flowers or as a stand-alone ornament.
