Description
Two abstract works on canvas distinguished by heavily textured surfaces, irregular raised layers and contrasting colour palettes.
The first combines deep blue, charcoal grey and red beneath fragmented cream and pale ochre forms. These dispersed shapes create a densely patterned composition, with fine cracking contrasting against larger curled and projecting sections.
The second features broader areas of terracotta, orange and ochre over a ground of pink, yellow, grey and dark blue. Sweeping marks remain visible between the raised surface layers, producing a more open composition.
Both works explore the relationship between colour, texture and relief. Presented without external frames, their projecting surfaces give them a sculptural character.
