This elegant opalescent pressed glass bowl has an intricate design of Guillemots and fish. The translucency of the material beautifully replicates the delicate ripples of the water.
The simplistic flow of form draws elements from the earlier period of the arts and crafts movement, influenced by the Japanese wood block artists. Produced during the same period as the great french glass artist René Jules Lalique, this pieceis reminiscent of some of his works.
