Known for its unique, daring designs and bold colours, Loetz was an art glass manufacturer originating in the Czech Republic in the late 19th century.
The organic form of this innovative work of art is a trademark of the Art Nouveau style of Loetz, created using techniques which were groundbreaking for their time. The texture has a cracked effect, with the rim delicately folding over like petals. The iconic designs of Loetz are found today in the collections of the V&A, Prague Art and Design and the Heinrich Glass Museum, Dusseldorf.
