Pop Art Interior Scene in the style of Patrick Caulfield
Joaquin Resano (b.1948) is a Navarrese painter, whose works can be found in the Estella Museum of Contemporary Art.
In the 1970s, Resano became part of the Pamplona Art School, which was an important artistic movement in Spain of the time. The artists in this group utilised the imagery, narratives and language of comic books and incorporated them into their work. Much of this work was inspired by international pop artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Patrick Caulfield and reflected the political and social feelings of these Spanish artists living under a dictatorship.
